Taormina, Sicily, Italy

Taormina is arguably the crown jewel of Sicily, ever more popular thanks to the series @thewhitelotus.

It has become one of my favorite destinations and my pictures don’t do it justice. I highly recommend a visit to Taormina as well as to many of the other beautiful and interesting locales in Sicily that I will be showcasing in the weeks ahead. There is SO much history in this wonderful island; Combined with its natural beauty, food and friendly people, it makes Sicily the perfect getaway.

First few days we strolled around town, took a boat ride, and hiked Mt. Etna (UNESCO). This also included a wine tasting and a local-sourced lunch, ending with a site tour @fstaormina (more to come).
